As the sunlight drizzles the edge of the evening sky
And the silent breeze whispers to the emptiness inside
I taste the tears that melt my dreams in the middle of the night
I feel the wind now howling, as the clouds chase the sunlight
Drifting through each moment ~ wondering why, oh why
Swallowed in heavy sorrow ~ drowning inside
Paralyzed with numbness of a cold and empty space
My tears give way to heartache, as I float in another place
Drenched in this shadow of darkness, inside a hollow wall of gloom
I am falling through the sky, floating in the room
As my heart remembers yesterday, and you’re no longer here
