Language of loss

The language of losing parents
Does not translate into any truth
It just leaves you in isolated emptiness
A space beyond what you ever knew
This long lost empty journey
Nests in a home of memories
Where sometimes you feel quite normal
Another moment ~ floating in misery
Crying for no reason it seems
When heavy memories emerge and appear
When you least expect that simple song
Long forgotten now, oh so clear
When do the tears stop crying?
When will my damaged heart heal?
When will I ever feel like I’m family again?
Now that my parents are gone ~ so unreal

As the sunlight drizzles

As the sunlight drizzles the edge of the evening sky
And the silent breeze whispers to your emptiness inside
Taste the tears that melt your dreams in the middle of the night
Feel the wind blowing, as the clouds chase the sunlight
Drifting through each moment ~ wondering why, oh why
Searching for the reasons ~ sometimes numb inside
Drowning in this dark and empty space
Your tears give way to awareness, as you float in another place
Stumbling through your heartache, you hear Gods voice of reason
Bringing you peace ~ something else to believe in
You will see tomorrow’s sunshine ~ in the midst of this crazy storm
Your heart will open wider to the secrets reborn
God will reveal His beauty to your heart more and more
And this time it will be sweeter ~ to lift you higher than before.

Lost without her

I feel so lost without her
…And today, I taste my tears
~ a little more
For the day she went to heaven
Is a day ~ that is no more
The emptiness and pain
Left me weak and oh, so broken
The day I said goodbye
The day when she was taken
But she left me with her heart
That lives inside my soul
That one day, someday
~ Will somehow make me feel whole
But today, the angels sing a little louder
…..In memory of her
The sound of their harp softly strumming
……Remembering her
